keeping the concept of a tight knit family of artists, up next on sol asylum is the follow up ep for the dilated pupils titled introducing remi. this collective of likeminded artists from the netherlands return to the label with a solid four-track ep that shows their range and diversity as producers. moving full speed ahead we start off with �remi at 21.16� a track that instantly hypnotizes you on the dance floor with its echoing harmonic synths and a complex metallic snare pattern. the track is a slow burner that explodes when the dirty analog kick, swinging bassline, and filtered percussion melt into an atomic fusion. next we take it to the next level with �do� its underwater bubbling percussion, bleeping stabs and eerie synth take us to the far off corners of space with just enough acid to keep our heads down and grooving to the strobe light in a dark room. as we move into fall with �october times� a tightly woven groove and galloping kicks push us into more experimental territory with soaring vintage synths that create tension and finesse at the same time. finally we finishing things off with the esoteric vibes of �suque� this deep and dirty track channels the positive force from another realm, which is the perfect match for the inspiriting concept of sol asylum.

mysterious hardware tinkerer stephan stl laubner is back with a 3 track + locked groove ep on the london based imprint mutual friend recordings entitled listen up! mind puzzlin is exactly that with a luscious lead line that will twist your head accomponied by stls signature rough and overdriven percussion. smile function has a more ominous tone with repeated guitar plucks that plant themselves into your consciousness. stl builds the groove expertly whilst retaining an other-worldly feel to the track. wrong is a real groover with a growling bassline accomponied by weird and wonderful interwoven patterns coaxed out of stls synths. the locked groove, titled listen up! loop is a nice bonus for the more adventurous dj out there.

slovenly recordings presents a new black jewel in the rough from australia: melbourne scuzz squad pronto, and their self-titled lp will steal your purse n pills before kicking holes in your speakers! pronto hits hard from the gate with a rare breed of aggression that mercilessly attacks your better senses with scraping vocal chords, three or less guitar chords and brash, unrelenting rhythmic fuckery. this decroded piece of plastic devolves from hammering rock n roll into psyched-out meltdowns, never neglecting the breed of anthemic choruses that were perfected during the first wave of uk punk in a twisted post-punk application. pronto is making good with ruthless threats of thuggish damage. they�re knocking at your door, and you need the hurt.

alan fitzpatrick makes a triumphant return to the scene-leading imprint this august. the typically bombastic three-tracker of explosive, crowd-moving techno opens with love siren packed with all the power and punch required to knock over festival crowds as it systematically builds and drops, this is one for the big open air stages. �u said u is a massively hyped track that has been the subject of huge fan-demand since it first featured on beyer s drumcode radio in january. rumours wraps things up in slightly more understated but non-the-less effective fashion with its drawn out, tension building intro mushrooming into a crescendo of sleazy chords and sparking melodies

no tag no food� is the third 12-inch from philadelphia-based artist m//r (magnetic resonance) and his first on details sound. after releasing 2014�s well-received �gathering response data ep� on great circles imprint and a single on ron morelli�s l.i.e.s., m//r is back with a strong bundle of four tracks, steadily making his mark on the scene of contemporary techno. this record is a proper electronic weapon, from the slowed down pounding impulse of total burner �no tag no food� to the suspended rhythm of atmospheric idyll which brings the listener into a gravity-free dimension.

retaining the slurred vocal of the original, efdemin layers thundering effects over chasmic bass in his mix of into the zone, which saw heavy rotation last year. meanwhile davenport brings a wild yet streamlined intensity to c.o.d.e.2.

deep dark industrial ambient. a slowly evolving soundscape with boiling buzzing sounds, resonating through the dark world.the berserk was perhaps one of the world s best fighters, which in old norse time sworn allegiance to the norse god odin. before a battle berserkers excited each other up and occurred in bearskin or wolf skin, hence the word berserk. in the beginning of the battle they performed exceptionally talented, indifferent battlers, but in close combat they fell into berserk. then they howled like wild beasts, probably to frighten the enemy and incite their comrades and themselves, and then get into rages. a berserk in battle were said not to bother about any injuries, and was therefore until the enemy, or they died.

the 1st remix comes from berlin based markus suckut. a subtle angle is taken on reflect which makes the remix feel sustainable. just the perfect remix to include in his impeccable oeuvre. all the way from finland is analog devotee samuli kemppi, who takes care of the 2nd remix. samuli creates a sudden tension with builds up until the very end. a001, from amsterdam, turns the original reflect into a obscure remix with an perplexing 2nd half. a001s mysterious and quiet appearance is a paradox compare to his musical output. twr72 closes the ep with the bonus track *response*. a solid and barbarous answer to reflect. no words are further needed.

the swedish solo project pro424 has since the debut in 2011 wandered between musically narrow alleys, and finds his passion and inspiration in the classic ambient music, electronica and melodic techno. immune is another step musically both into himself and into the unknown, where the musical norm is put to test and challenged by combining the softest ambient music with hard machine techno. the music can be seen as a fragile mix of underworld and tangerine dream, with a scent of richie hawtin.

who better to inaugurate your label than andreas gehm? simple, no-one. glasgow�s schrodinger�s cat is sinking claws and teeth into vinyl with five tracks of blistering tb303 goodness from the cologne man. mr gehm is in fine form as he serves up a quintet of very different cuts. from the warbling wonderment of -blind eyes- to squawking darkness of -jak the floor-, this ep shows how talented this machine musician is. -can you hear me girl- is jilted lover, stalker house, beady eyes peering into misted windows material. the elec pt 1 hood is donned for the dirtiest track of the 12inch. grimy claps are further polluted by bending acid lines in a work overflowing with violence. out of the leftfield comes the finale. -systems go- throbs with rumbling rhythms, a bleeped melody keeping time as drum machines overheat and circuitry melts. mean as ever from andreas gehm. expect tears.

after landing his malfunctioning px-4000 on the purple planet, captain dmx steps out of the smoldering cockpit. after barely setting foot on the dusty landscape, the captain is startled by deep thudding from over the hills. dragging his oxygen pack with one hand and his atomizer with the other, he sets off in search of the other-wordly din. over the hill his pupils adjust to the stroboscopic lightning and below him lies a sea of strange creatures moving together as one body. a cosmic sermon takes place under the three suns in the sky, mechanical and stuttered frequencies set a manic pace and drive the dark creatures back and forth. captain dmx sighs a heavy breath and starts to descend into the fray.
